Flush Fitted Parking Sensors work exactly the same way as standard Bumper Recess Parking Sensors. Using ultra sonic technology, the flush mounted parking sensors emit a cone of sound. This cone bounces off any obstacles behind you, and using the time taken for the sound wave to return to the parking sensor, it calculates the distance of the obstacle.
