Super Chargers

Description

A Super Charger is an air compressor that increases the pressure of the air supplied to the engine. This gives the engine more oxygen, letting it burn more fuel and do more work increasing its power.

Supercharging is now commonplace among mainstream manufacturers, most using the Eaton supercharger range which offer good mid range torque and efficiency, but like any mechanical contraption Eaton superchargers are subject to wear – so they need maintenance or fixing. Preventative oil changes are very important on Eaton superchargers, as the ‘sealed for life’ claim is at best an aspiration, and repairs can be expensive.
